Greek Railway Trainose Schedules Available On Google Transit Trip Planner
Google has included the schedules of Greece’s railway operator Trainose in its Google Maps “Transit” service to facilitate trip planning on this mode of transport.
Transit for Google Maps is a free service that provides a journey planning tool for desktop computers and mobile devices.
Google maps now include schedules and routes of the suburban lines of Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras and of the whole intercity network.
Through the Transit service, Greeks and foreign visitors can plan their journey throughout Greece via pc, tablet or smartphone.
Transit for Google Maps provides departure/arrival times, multiple travel options/routes, estimated time/distance of journey and instructions for pedestrians for the start (eg. nearest means of transport) and the end of a journey/trip (final destination).
According to Trainose, the railway operator joined Google maps in an effort to upgrade the level of services for passengers and mainly assist tourists that visit Greece.
There are more than one billion monthly active users of Google Maps services.
