The Christmas Factory in Athens

Xmas_factory-This Christmas, a special toy factory will be set up downtown in the City of Athens Technopolis in the Gazi district!

Santa Claus and his cheerful elves will welcome all guests with open arms and seasonal cheers at the Christmas Toy Factory every day in a specially designed Christmas environment from 6 December 2013 until 6 January 2014.

From 10am to 10pm, guests will join for the first time Santa Claus’ preparations for the manufacturing and distribution of the presents for the children of the world.

Events – Christmas Fun Park

The Christmas Factory also comes with a variety of events and activities for all! On the Technopolis grounds, visitors will find a Grand Carousel, an impressive Christmas wheel, an eco-roller coaster that will transport guests around, children’s theatrical performances, concerts, choirs, street performances, unique ice skating, interactive workshops and many activities that will capture kids attention and imagination.

The Christmas Factory also houses interesting displays such as the remarkable collection of exhibits of ancient Greek technology by Kostas Kotsanas and the collection of traditional toys by Nina Karakosta, consisting of 3,000 originals and copies of toys from all over the world.

Visitors will also enjoy the Christmas Market housed in traditional wooden huts bursting with a great variety of everything that you could wish for.

Launch: Saturday 7 December

oniramaThe Christmas Factory event will officially launch on Saturday 7 December with a concert by Greek group ONIRAMA.

The event spreads over an area of more than 25,000 m2 and aims to become the biggest attraction this Christmas.

In addition, to create a magical seasonal atmosphere, 500 decorated natural pine trees will be placed around Technopolis. At the end of the event, all the pine trees will be replanted at specially selected environmental forestation areas.

The Christmas Factory strongly supports the associations Flame and SOS Children’s Villages.

Entrance to The Christmas Factory is 4 euros.
