This year, like every year, through the organization of the international tourism exhibition Philoxenia, a remarkable effort is made to promote Greek Tourism that deserves the appreciation and full support of all tourism operators and professionals.

Especially this year when Greek tourism showed a remarkable increase in arrivals, we have another reason to show our support to Philoxenia, the international tourism exhibition which for decades contributes to the motivation of tourism businesses and forms new proposals.

Philoxenia this year will bring even better results for Greek tourism in 2014.

Greek tourism today, following a good year during which a record of foreign tourist arrivals were recorded, faces the challenge to maintain and strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive environment.

In this context, through absolute cooperation, the State, bodies and professionals, should offer the tourist a modern, quality tourism product and superior service and make the stay in our country a unique experience.

Moreover, we must not forget that a happy tourist can become the most ideal ambassador of Greek tourism.

Of course, we all know that the tourism product is complex, sensitive and influenced by many factors.

However, it still is the strongest way for the country’s exit from the crisis.
