Kefalogianni Meets With Leading Tour Operators In Russia
Greece is looking to expand its relationship with leading Russian tour operators, the Tourism Ministry said on 15 October.
While recently in Moscow, Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni held a meeting with representatives of major Russian tour operators and discussed ways to forward the positive growth trend of Russian tourists in Greece.
According to the tourism ministry, from 2009 to 2012 the number of Russian travelers to Greece quadrupled.
During the meeting, Mrs. Kefalogianni underlined that Greek tourism entrepreneurs are making significant efforts to evolve the level of offered services to satisfy the needs of demanding Russian tourists.
She added that the business world is moving towards the promotion of new, more attractive tourism products and are focusing on the fields of medical, marine and cultural tourism.
According to the latest data, the rise of Russian arrivals to Greece is continuing at an increased rate this autumn with the addition of new flights to Greece for the season.
