Kefalogianni To Sign “Green” Cooperation Protocol To Increase Blue Flag Beaches In Greece

Blue_Flag_beachGreek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and the chairman of the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, Nikos Petrou, will sign a cooperation protocol on Thursday 10 October at Astir Palace in Vouliagmeni, Athens.

The cooperation protocol will ascertain the common objectives between the Greek Tourism Ministry’s “Green Tourism” campaign and the international environmental education and awareness programs “Blue Flags” and “Green Keys,” which are supervised by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature.

Details on the cooperation between the two parties, their common goals and the coordination of the joint effort will be included in the protocol.

The main goal of the joint effort is to increase the number of Greek Blue Flag coasts, improve the level of offered services at Greek beaches and attract more hotels to join the “Greek Key” program.
