The guides are part of the GNTO’s new “Traveling in Greece” series, which will include a total of 13 guides on all of Greece’s destinations.
The new guides aim to be a great travel companion for visitors and are rich in illustrations and suggested routes. They provide detailed information on the history, landmarks, monuments and natural environment of each destination.
The “Traveling in Greece” guides also contain tips on entertainment, events and activities; useful information (telephone numbers, Internet sites, etc.); and maps that highlights all points of interest.
The 14cm x 24cm guides are available in seven languages (Greek, English, French, Italian, Spanish, German and Russian) and distributed free of charge from GNTO information offices in Athens, regional tourism offices all over Greece, and the organization’s offices abroad.
Electronic versions are also available on the website www.visitgreece.gr for printing or download.
In the near future, the GNTO will release more guides from the “Traveling in Greece” series on the Cyclades, the mainland, the islands of the North Aegean and Crete. A detailed travel guide on Thessaloniki is also planned for release.
