4th Athens Bike Festival Coming Up
Following the successful organization of the previous three bike festivals, it became obvious that Athens is a city with a growing cycling culture and that an annual cycling festival in the heart of the city is a must for the increasing number of cyclists.
This year, the 4th Athens Bike Festival will take place 20-22 September 2013 at the City of Athens “Technopolis” multipurpose cultural space.
During the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to see and test the latest bike models, discuss with market experts and experience an alternative lifestyle through the parallel activities that will present a different and active culture worth discovering.
All major brands of the cycling market are expected to participate at the festival’s exhibition section.
In addition, scheduled events at the festival will create a festive atmosphere and visitors will have the chance to participate, learn and be inspired to adopt an alternative lifestyle.
Last year, the festival attracted more than 30,000 visitors.
The 4th Athens Bike Festival will be held during “European Mobility Week,” which kicked off on 16 September and will run until 22 September under the slogan “Clean air – It’s your move!”
European Mobility Week is an awareness raising campaign aiming at sensibilizing citizens to the use of public transport, cycling, walking and at encouraging European cities to promote these modes of transport.
