Carpathian Cuisine Goes To Mount Athos

Romanian chef Attila Kiss and Greek chef Leonidas Iordanis presented an ala carte menu made with the region’s local products at Alexandros Palace Hotels & Suites.
The Mount Athos Area Organization recently held a culinary tour to Carpathian cuisine to strengthen the already strong relations of the Romanian market with the Athos region.
During the five-day tour in Ouranoupolis, Romanian culinary maestro, Attila Kiss, chef of Continental Forum Arad, and Greek chefs from the Athos region presented authentic Carpathian tastes with the exclusive use of Mount Athos local products.
According to the organization, it has been agreed for local chefs from Romania’s luxurious Grand Hotels Continental to present dishes based on the Mount Athos cuisine this winter.
The culinary tour was part of the promotional campaign for next year’s Mount Athos Area Kouzina festival that will promote the area’s local production and products and establish Mount Athos as a gastronomic destination to attract thematic visitors.
The event was held in cooperation with Meli Tours and Filos Holidays & Travel.
