Greece Among Top Options For Cruise Operators
Greece appears among the top options of international cruise operators who are now drafting their 2014 schedules.
Greek newspaper Kathimerini reported that the development has been helped by events in Egypt, as at least six Greek ports have received applications for docking from cruise operators who have cancelled calls at Egyptian ports.
These ports are Crete’s Iraklio and Agios Nikolaos, Santorini, Rhodes, Katakolo in the western Peloponnese and Corfu.
Separately, Holland America Line announced in Seattle, US, on Tuesday that one of its cruises, to take place in October 2014, will begin in Piraeus, head for Kavala in northern Greece, and then to ports in Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine.
