“Marketing Greece” Announces Roadshows To Crete, Volos
Private marketing company for Greek tourism “Marketing Greece” will carry out another three roadshows next week in Crete and Volos to inform Greek tourism professionals about the company’s activities. The announcement was made in Athens on 14 June at an informative event to Greek tourism professionals, where the company’s progress and future plans were announced.
More specifically, the roadshows in Crete will take place on Monday, 17 June 2013, in the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce (Kastelaki Hall) at 12 noon until 2pm, and Chania at the Grand Arsenal (Old Port) at 7-9pm. The roadshow in Volos will be held on Tuesday, 18 June 2013, at 6-8pm at the Xenia Volos hotel.
The exclusive sponsor of the roadshows is the National Bank of Greece.
“We are launching this new tool with an aim to support the Tourism Ministry and the Greek National Tourism Organization for the creation of a new tourism identity for Greece and its destinations,” the president of Marketing Greece and president of SETE, Andreas Andreadis, said during the event.
On her part, Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni underlined that the Greek State’s cooperation with an initiative of the private sector could lead to the “best possible promotion of the Greek tourism product.
“The cooperation may lead to choices that will support a national long-term strategy in the best possible way,” Mrs. Kefalogianni said.
Marketing Greece plans to launch a world-class website, develop electronic networking and cooperate with public relations offices located in key target markets, thus implementing comprehensive programs to promote individual tourism destinations and tourism products.
The company will also have an advisory role in the development of a comprehensive marketing plan for the country and assist to the improvement of the commercial management of the Greek tourism product.
“Marketing Greece” is composed by the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Hellenic Association of Communications Agencies-EDEE.
