Xanthi’s Tourism Potential To Be Presented At Conference
The religious, tourism and cultural values of Xanthi, northeastern Greece, and the diversity of the region in general, will be highlighted at a two-day conference held by the Chamber of Xanthi on Monday, 13 May, at the Le Chalet Hotel in the Pigadia area.
The conference will focus on tourism as part of the broader economic and social system of Greece, as it affects development and economic growth.
“Tourism is one of the major drivers of growth and, especially in times of crisis, can contribute significantly to economic recovery with multiple benefits,” the Chamber of Xanthi said.
During the conference, the chamber will show that Xanthi has all the requirements, from natural resources to infrastructure, to attract visitors all year round.
The conference will be attended by key figures of the Greek tourism industry, tourism experts and professionals and journalists. Attendees will be given a tour of Xanthi on the second day of the conference.
The chamber is organizing the conference within the framework of the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme.
