Crossroads of Europe 2013 Fair To Launch In May
The importance of European Cultural Routes in the development of a new form of tourism, focused on the respect of environment, culture and populations, will be highlighted for the second year by the “Crossroads of Europe” fair to take place 15-17 May in Toulouse, France.
The aim of the fair is to promote cooperation and exchange between possible partners in tourism services and to raise awareness of the potential for this new kind of tourism.
Crossroads of Europe 2013 will present:
• European conference, 16 May 2013
This conference will underline how cultural tourism – and especially cultural routes – can, beyond the diversity of European cultures, strengthen the sense of common values and heritage, and reinforce the feeling of European citizenship. 2013 is the European Year for citizenship.
•Workshops, 17 May 2013
Workshops will bring together stakeholders of European tourism industry, cultural organisations and public authorities to explore the ways to work together on the promotion of cultural routes, their contribution to the diversification of tourism and to sustainability.
•Fair, 15-17 May 2013
Exhibition on European cultural routes, cultural events in relation with the week of Europe in Toulouse.
These events are open to all – cultural and tourism associations, international organisations, national and regional authorities, travel agents and tour operators, specialised journalists, etc.
