Plato’s Academy To Welcome Digital Museum
The Central Archaeological Council (KAS) recently gave the go-ahead for the creation of a digital museum at the archaeological site of Plato’s Academy in Athens.
The museum will be located on the corner of Monastiriou and Κreontos streets.
According to reports, the multilevel digital museum, implemented under the project “Plato’s Academy: The State and the Citizen” that is included in the NSRF, will be housed temporarily in a prefabricated construction.
The project has been prepared by the University of Athens in collaboration with the Foundation of the Hellenic World, the Onassis Cultural Center of the Onassis Foundation and the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning.
The cost for the construction of the digital museum will be covered by the City of Athens.
