Greece has a positive outlook for the 2013 season, as bookings from all the country’s traditional and developing tourism markets are showing positive figures, according to Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni.
“Our effort is to send the message all over the world that Greece is a safe and welcoming country,” Mrs. Kefalogianni said today, 26 March, following a meeting with German Federal Deputy Labor Minister Hans-Joachim Fuchtel on tourism education issues.
The tourism minister said bookings from the German market – traditionally the largest market for Greece – were showing an increasing trend compared to the drop of German arrivals last year.
On his part, Mr. Fuchtel invited the Germans to visit Greece. “It is a great country for vacation,” he said to the Greek press.
