Porto Veneziano To Open Next Month

The Porto Veneziano Hotel on Crete will reopen its doors on 1 April after undergoing a five-month renovation.

The hotel is located on the waterfront of the venetian harbor in the Old Town of Chania, 300 meters from the city center and 1,500 meters from the nearest organized beach.

The Porto Veneziano offers a varied breakfast buffet that includes a rich variety of Cretan products.

“We are waiting to welcome guests and offer them excellent service and genuine hospitality in a clean environment that makes a difference,” the owner and manager of Porto Veneziano, Yannis Platsidakis, said.

The hotel has attained the coveted ISO 9001:2008 for the quality of organization and operation and ISO 22000:2005 (HACCP) for hygiene and food safety management and was honored last year with the “Certificate of Excellence” by Tripadvisor.

It follows a high environmentally friendly policy as it is one of the few that offers air conditioning with geothermal technology. Also, smoking is prohibited in all internal areas of the hotel.
