Lufthansa First Class Gets Five Stars By Skytrax
German airlines Lufthansa was recently honored with a 5-Star ranking for its First Class product and service package, according to the latest Skytrax Star Ranking review.
On board Lufthansa aircraft, the Skytrax rating system singled out the superb comfort of the First-Class cabin with ergonomically contoured seats, which convert into a fully flat, two-meter long bed.
Top marks also went to Lufthansa in-flight entertainment, which offers movies in up to eight languages, a variety of TV and radio channels as well as a selection of CDs and audio books.
Additionally, Skytrax awarded outstanding marks to Lufthansa’s First-Class cabin staff for their onboard service quality, which had lent an added note to the 5-Star rating and which had shown marked improvement over the past 12 months.
On the ground, the First-Class Terminal in Frankfurt also scored 5-Star ratings across many of the assessment categories (exclusive service from personal assistants for HONs and First-Class passengers, comfortable armchairs and sofas, quiet rooms with daybeds, a separate cigar lounge, etc.).
The quality analysis was conducted by the Skytrax research institute that specializes in rating airline products and service standards.
Skytrax introduced its independent, yearly star-ranking program in 1999.
