Renowned Greek tourism professional and owner of Elounda S.A. Hotels and Resorts, Spyros Kokotos, recently released his book entitled “Elounda, the chronicle of a legend” (Ελούντα, το χρονικό ενός θρύλου) by Fereniki publications (εκδόσεις Φερενίκη).
No special introduction is needed for the author.
Spyros Kokotos, an architect by profession, has been in the Greek luxury tourism business all his life and can be considered a leading figure of the industry.
In his book, Mr. Kokotos describes how Elounda (Crete) transformed from a nice, simple, location –out of Greece’s many– into a world class-tourism destination, very popular for the international jet set.
It all began in Crete during the late 1960’s, a time when tourism in Crete was in its nascence…
“For those who are not familiar, the book is informative and instructive, but for those who know even a little about Elounda, it is enjoyable,” a Greek tourism professional said.
Spyros Kokotos is an honorary president of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE).
