Turkish Group To Operate Mytilene Marina
The Mytilene Marina, southern east area of the island of Lesvos, has been leased to Setur, the travel unit of Istanbul-based Koc Holding AS, after it won a government auction in Greece last month.
Setur, Turkey’s biggest group of companies, will operate the marina for 40 years, with an annual lease of 250.000 euros, in partnership with Hellenic Duty Free Shops SA of Folli Follie Group.
The capacity of the marina is 252 spaces, which include 222 spaces in the marine area, the floating docks and platforms and 30 spaces on the land area. According to reports, Setur currently runs eight marinas in Turkey.
Government auctions were also announced last month for the marinas of Chios and Argostoli.
