Tourism Enterprises Participate In Social Intervention
“The new government formed not long ago is offering to turn the page and introduce modern and constructive perceptions,” according to the social intervention text signed last month by 62 Greek businessmen, including the president of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE), Andreas Andreadis.
According to reports, the social intervention focused on the need to “activate civil society” and it requested support for the Government of Lucas Papademos.
Mr. Papademos leads the coalition government composed by three Greek political parties in 10 November 2011.
In their intervention, the businessmen propose the radical change of the public resources administration for the economy to recover and for the State to revive.
The 62 entrepreneurs set specific targets and suggested the adoption of a modern economic model for the country based on financial rationalization and the implementation of modern rules that would target the actions and behavior of public servants.
Also, the businessmen called for systematic and meaningful consultation on every important issue, on every change of course, on any exception to the rule.
The social intervention also underlined that a “convincing and effective transparency in the wider public sector” was needed as well as fighting corruption with modern practices based on successful international applications.
SETE’s honorary president Stavros Andreadis also signed the social intervention text.
