“The European markets are receiving optimistic messages in regards to the recovery of Greek tourism,” President of the European Travel Agents and Tour Operators Associations (ECTAA) Irene Gueorguieva said at a dinner held during the 102nd ECTAA Biannual Meeting in Athens last month.
The Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (HATTA) hosted the meeting.
According to Ms. Gueorguieva, ECTAA is concentrating its efforts on ensuring a smooth environment and operating framework for tourism businesses.
She also expressed the need for cooperation on an action plan aimed at a sustainable and competitive European tourism product.
On his part, HATTA’s President Giorgos Telonis stressed the important role of travel agencies for the development of international tourism and requested from ECTAA delegates to help boost tourism in Greece by enriching their travel packages with dynamic products.
