Conference To Focus On Economic Crisis At Philoxenia
Professionals of the travel industry are getting ready for their “annual appointment” in Thessaloniki to meet up at the 25th International Tourism Exhibition Philoxenia at the end of this month.
One of the highlights of this years Philoxenia is the “2nd European Tourism Conference” under the theme “Travel & Tourism: The Day After-Turning Crisis into Growth,” to be held on 30-31 October and organized by Helexpo and Europress Media Group.
The sessions of the conference are to give insight on communication strategies and crisis management, ecotourism and sustainability, city breaks and special forms of tourism.
Speakers are to include Irene Pari, vice president of the European Economic and Social Committee; Dr. Kelly Bricker, chairman of the International Ecotourism Society; Juliana Azumah-Mensah, Tourism Minister of Ghana; Daniel Charbonnier, faculty member of DCT Hotel and Business Management School; and Kristina Keller, TUI representative. The conference will be held under the aegis of the Tourism Ministry.
