Greek Catering Services to Be Improved

Greek tourism destinations that will survive the crisis and have a future are those that will offer ‘quality’ services to guests,” the Service Quality Club’s president, Ioanna Sarantopoulou, underlined.
The Action for the Development of Tourism and Tourist Education (DRATTE) recently announced the establishment of the Service Quality Club that aims to improve the quality of catering services in the Greek tourism industry.
According to the president of the club, Ioanna Sarantopoulou, the quality of Greece’s tourism product is directly affected by the quality of products-both within and outside of hotels.
“The Service Quality Club will seek to gather information, formulate proposals and undertake activities so that the level of services provided by tourism businesses will be a competitive advantage for Greece in the future,” she said.
The club has developed a proposal to the tourism ministry that refers to the establishment of specific Greek tourist destinations where high level of catering services should be ensured.
“The old city of Rodos and Mykonos town are considered such tourist destinations,” said Ms. Sarantopoulou.
