Porto Elounda Launches New Conference Center
Spyros Kokotos, recently inaugurated his group’s newly constructed Aegean Conference Center of the Porto Elounda De Luxe Resort in Crete.
Present at the inauguration was Tourism Minister Aris Spiliotopoulos who stressed that Crete, due to the climate, can support alternative forms of tourism and commented that the hotel’s Aegean Conference Center is very important for the island as it gives visitors the opportunity to visit the island all-year-round.
The center includes some 1,500 square meters of indoor space with the additional benefit of another 300 square meters of covered outdoor verandas and comprises of five multi-purpose halls of various sizes, which can all be joined and separated as required.
“The more specialized conference centers we have, the more sophisticated vacation packages we can offer and thus we can extend the tourism season,” the minister concluded.
The new conference center at Porto Elounda was completed this year with cutting-edge specifications incorporated in functional designs and facilities.
