SkyTeam Alliance Honored by Business Traveler
The SkyTeam alliance was officially named the “Best Airline Alliance Program” by Business Traveler magazine’s “2007 Reader’s Choice Best in Business Travel Survey.” Business Traveler readers recognized SkyTeam for the alliance’s reliability, high-quality service and extensive network.
Business Traveler, a leading business travel publication, conducts the “Reader’s Choice Best in Business Travel Survey” annually. The survey covers some 50 categories, including “Best Airline Alliance Program,” “Best Overall Airline” and “Best Airline Lounge.” Business Traveler subscribers were selected at random and asked to identify the companies that have made their business travel more enjoyable. SkyTeam, along with other award recipients, will be honored this month at a gala ceremony in Los Angeles, California. The results of the survey were revealed in last month’s issue of Business Traveler magazine.
SkyTeam is a global airline alliance that partners with eleven members and three associate airlines. In 2007, SkyTeam welcomed the alliance’s eleventh full member, China Southern Airlines, and three associate airlines, Air Europa, Copa Airlines and Kenya Airways.
In 2008, the airline alliance aims to expand its global network and explore partnerships with carriers in strategic and high-demand regions, such as India and Brazil. The alliance aims to continue to focus on co-location policy at airports and particularly at London Heathrow International Airport.
