Bachelor Program and MBA for Club Hotel Casino Loutraki Employees
Club Hotel Casino Loutraki recently took an initiative, in cooperation with New York College, to partially finance Bachelor and MBA degrees for some twenty employees. This initiative is part of the company’s aim to further educate its staff and thus enhance its work force. The courses will take place in the work place.
According to the company, this is an investment aimed at creating the next generation of able executives and to subsequently cover the needs of the company over the next few years. Club Hotel Casino Loutraki will cover 50 percent of the cost of the course for each employee selected, whilst a full scholarship will be given to one employee-student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement at the end of the course.
The Bachelor program is aimed at 10 employees who have already completed the second year of study at a public or private higher education institution, and a course in business administration and tourism management. The course is for one year and would thus complete the third year of study necessary to obtain a degree.
New York College has specifically formulated the program of study in cooperation with the acknowledged Swiss university Institut Universitaire Kurt Bosch (IUKB.) Emphasis has been placed on topics of management and tourism that the aforementioned institutions have longstanding experience in.
The Greek-speaking executive MBA targets an additional 10 employees of the company, which have a degree and have completed 5-7 years of service.
It is a demanding one-year program with emphasis on management and the operation of the company, marketing, resource management, information systems, ethics and international management.
The selection of the 20 candidates who will participate in the program was made following an objective evaluation of employee academic and professional performance.
Antonis Stergiotis, manager of Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, said: “The work force is the key to our success, and within this framework, we invest some 400,000 euros annually for its education, with the aim to enhance its knowledge and abilities and subsequently the development of Club Hotel Casino Loutraki in the future.”
