Corfu Hosts Inflatable Boat Races
With numerous successes under its belt in organizing various boat races, the island of Corfu on June 16 once again takes on the task of organizing and presenting the Panhellenic Inflatable Boat Races.
The organizer, the Corfu Inflatable Boat club, says the number of contestants this year will be more than double that of last year and that the races promise some especially exciting moments for both participants and spectators.
Along with the inflatable races, the organizers have set up shows and spectacles that include jet ski races, water ski presentations, hydroplanes, modern dancing presentations, and even “air walks” with the flying inflatable of Yianni Heimariou.
The races and events take place at the Garitsas Bay Formula 1 track and are with the support of the General Secretariat for Sports, the Hellenic Tourism Organization and Corfu local government offices, including the Ionian Islands Prefecture, the Corfu Regional Authority and the Corfu Municipality.
