Lufthansa German Airlines last month awarded Goldair Handling as being the best provider of third party services within the worldwide Lufthansa network. Prizes where given in the categories ground handling, on board services, third party services and internal projects for the year 2006 for high quality services provided to the customers.
“Goldair Handling has provided an excellent service to our customers, which have been kept on a continuously high level of quality,” Wolfgang Mayrhuber, chairman of Lufthansa’s executive board and the airline’s CEO, said when he handed over the award to Ekaterini Xanthaki, general manager of Goldair Handling, during the ceremony in Germany.
“The 40 team members have shown a highly professional, customer-oriented and quality related service which totally supports the Lufthansa philosophy,” he added. “This distinction for Goldair Handling,” said Ms Xanthaki, “as best handler in the worldwide Lufthansa network, proves that the work we have done in this company has succeeded, taking into account that Lufthansa is one of the top quality airlines with high quality standards and a tough quality monitoring system.”
Τhe award reflects the quality of services at Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rodos and Corfu airports.
Goldair Handling was the first ground handling agent in Greece to receive a license to operate. The company has been offering ground handling services to Lufthansa at Athens International Airport for the past five years.
