Attica Hotels Post Increases In Overnights
The Attica Hoteliers’ Association announced last month that for the month of November overnights were up when compared with the same month the year before.
The association, however, said that overnights, although on the increase, were lower than they should have been for November. Overnights for hotels in the Athens-Attica region, it said, were up 5.9% for five-star hotels, 9.7% for four-star units, 8% for three-star hotels, and 7.5% for the area’s two-star hotel units.
Separately, Greece’s tourism development ministry, in cooperation with the Hellenic Tourism Organization (GNTO), announced that hotels presently operating without the GNTO operational permit because of swamped paperwork would have until the end of this year to obtain one.
