Panorama Exhibition Moves to Expo Athens Venue
The capital’s biggest and most modern exhibition center, Expo Athens, hosts the 11th Panorama Tourism Exhibition this year from May 4 to 7 with more exhibition space than ever before.
Located at a central junction on the award-winning Attiki Odos (recently voted the European Union’s safest highway), the venue sports some 32,500 square meters of exhibition space. Visitors that take Exit 14 as they head toward Markopoulos, will find the entrance to center in front of them, while users of Exit 15, which bisects Messoghion Avenue, reach the center via Anthoussa Avenue.
The center boasts a spacious parking lot of more than 50,000 square meters.
Visitors that prefer public transport can use the Athens subway system up to Doukissis Plakentias. From there, the fair’s organizers have arranged for bus shuttle service every half hour. As well, visitors could pick up bus A5 from Academias Avenue, which goes directly to Anthousa.
This year’s Panorama coincides with the 50 years of tourism activity carried on by the fair’s organizer, the Kalofolia Group, which celebrates the event with presentations of alternative forms of tourism available in Greece, including gastronomy and wellness tourism.
As well, the day prior to the opening of the fair, the organizer plans a tourism seminar at a central hotel in Athens. The event is to include speakers on city, marine, spa and rural tourism themes.
The honored destination this year, Chalkidiki, will see events created to promote that area’s natural wonders, its culture and traditions, its history, and its modern infrastructure.
And although specifics were not revealed, the organizer says the honored destination for next year’s Panorama fair has already been selected.
