SkyTeam Presents Fourth Mexican Festival
SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, last month welcomed top tourism professionals to its annual Mexican Food Festival organized with the cooperation of the Athenaeum Intercontinental and the local Mexican embassy. This marks the fourth year in succession for the festival.
After a short welcome speech by Mexico’s Ambassador to Greece, Alejandro Diaz Perez Duarte, the podium was taken over by Dinos Frantzeskakis of Aeromexico. He told guests that the SkyTeam alliance boasts the biggest portion of the local air travel market and that its members work closely together to service all its clients.
Benedicte Pellerin, Air France’s new general manager for Greece & Cyprus, said that she was extremely pleased to see how well the local representatives of the SkyTeam member airlines cooperate.
Later, Mr. Frantzeskakis privately explained some of the newer SkyTeam products to interested guests. These products include a new corporate travel program for global companies, which offers competitively priced, customized travel solutions across most of the alliance’s 684 destinations in 133 countries via a single contract, and the new SkyTeam America Pass.
With the America Pass, he said, our Greek customers have the opportunity to visit hundreds of destinations in United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean through the use of coupons. He said that with the purchase of an intercontinental round-trip ticket to the United States, Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean on any one of the nine SkyTeam carriers, customers are eligible to purchase a SkyTeam America Pass with up to 10 coupons.
“Simply book a seat at least 3 days before your intercontinental departure on the first Aeromexico, Continental, Delta, or Northwest flight you wish to take. From here, you may continue your travels at your own pace by booking additional flights when-ever you wish,” he said.
SkyTeam partners’ nine members include Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, Continental Airlines, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air and Northwest Airlines.
Through one of the world’s most extensive hub net-works, SkyTeam offers its 343.6 million annual passengers a worldwide system of more than 15,000 daily flights covering all major destinations.
