Panorama Opens April 7-10
Panorama celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and to commemorate the event organizers (the Kalofolias group of companies) have upgraded the fair with a new modern logo – still the sun and the sea but with a more modern mood – and have added new sectors to the “international” tourism fair with a “Panorama Tastes” area and with “Escape” accessories exhibitors.
This year’s honored region is Thessalia (Karditsa, Larisa, Magnissia and Trikala).
While companies with escape accessories join the general exhibition area, the Panorama tastes section will be situated on the main floor of the exhibition area where each Greek region can present local products.
Not counting the 400 or so exhibitors expected this year, Panorama up until now has hosted some 2,500 tourism exhibitors and has welcomed some 350,000 visitors.
Last year’s fair, however, left exhibitors and visitors with mixed feelings.
Most exhibitors, many of which were counting on domestic travel last year, were disappointed in the lower number of visitors to the year’s fair, a drop of more than 13% when compared to the numbers of the previous year.
This was considered even more worrying since the fair concentrates on domestic tourism and its possibilities, especially with regards to special forms of tourism and regional tourism.
