Megaron Athens Concert Hall Boasts New Conference Possibilities
Megaron Athens Concert Hall, one of Europe’s most sought-after art centers, expands to become one of the world’s most sought-after cultural centers as well as a venue for events and conferences. Already, the center boasts all-purpose halls with meeting rooms and state-of-the-art equipment capable of hosting any international conference that demands a very high level of quality in both venue and service.
For example, the center’s Trianti hall seats 1,750 and includes huge stage possibilities and the last word in technology to host scientific conferences as well as musical and theater events. The central reception area, or the heart of the center, acts as a natural extension to the hall and is excellent for receptions.
The newest extension to the center is its park area. Above the complex, within the bowels of a high hill, designers are planting trees for shade and beauty, grass steps that lead up to the complex’s main entrance and are now in the process of creating streams and ponds for effect. All the park area will be open to the public, especially children. Under the park is parking area for 750 cars.
By the summer of next year, the center will have completed its expansion program and include new banquet and reception halls, two large and five small conference halls, a 2,000-square-meter exhibition hall and numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
The concert hall now includes a state-of-the-art electronic arts library – ideal for research and the study of Greek music – an underground garage for 750 cars and one of the world’s most impressive outdoor parks.
