Strintzis Introduces New Routes
Within the new liberalized framework of Greek coastal shipping, Strintzis Lines (Blue Star Ferries), expands its routes. As of this month, the Greek ferry line is at the forefront with three brand new ships on the Cycladic Islands’ routes, the Blue Star 1 in the Dodecanese on the Piraeus-Rodos route and its Blue Star 2 on the new, fast daily connection between Piraeus and Chania, Crete.
Separately, Strintzis., in which Attica Enterprises holds a controlling stake of 48.6%, reported earnings before interest, tax and depreciation of 23.6 million euros (an increase of 3.6%) and turnover of 119.1 million euros (an increase of 10.6%) for the period to 31st December, 2002. Net profit for the Strintzis Group stood at 4.1 million euros, an increase of 3.3% over the previous year.
