Owner of the Afantou Golf course on Rodos, Hellenic Tourism Properties, says it has completed studies for the development of the course and that before the beginning of August it will call for expressions of interest from the international community. It expects to have completed the lease of the property to the winning bid before the end of this year.
Studies carried out concentrated on the ways the course and its buildings could be developed, as well as the course’s properties of Tsabikas beach and Kalitheas Spa. All together, the property will be leased for a minimum of 25 years.
Similar studies are underway for the development of tourism organization properties at Anavissos and will be turned over to Hellenic Tourism Properties this September. This area is considered ideal for a theme park. Already opening discussions have been held with representatives from theme parks in Italy and France, including owners of the Asterix theme park.
