Panorama 2000 Expands Into The International Arena
Greece’s domestic tourism fair, Tourism Panorama, expands this year to include participation from the international arena. Organizer Kappa exhibitions expects participation from countries such us Tunisia, Malaysia, Turkey and Libya, which changes its tourism policy and now attempts to entice visitors from Europe. Kappa says the inclusion of these countries is the first step in its gradual process to bring the fair up to international status.
The fair, which presents almost every possible Greek tourism destination, and the tourism products available in each, takes place from May 10 to 14 athe Peace and Friendship Stadium.
This year, Panorama places the Peloponissos area as its honorary Greek destination. According to initial reports, domestic participation includes 16 Greek hotels, 10 travel offices, six airlines, five coastal ferry operators, eight educational institutions, two casino groups, two cruise companies, and representative stands from every corner of Greece.
As well, at this, the fifth Panorama, organizers welcome the participation of the Hellenic Tourism Organization and the Cypriot Tourism Organization.
