Dane Sea Lines Strengthens Its Position With New Vessels
Dane Sea Lines, which has managed to pull itself out of deep financial troubles with the help of strategic investor Anek Lines, has been granted provisional permits to service the Piraeus-Dodecanese group of routes.
To service these routes, Dane will replace its older vessel, Leros, in April with a new vessel for the line. The new vessel was built in 1995 and sails at speeds of up to 24 knots. In May, the Dodecanese ferry line will replace its vessel, Ialysos, with the vessel Sophocles Venizelos, which was built in 1990 and reaches speeds of up to 24 knots.
