Hundreds of athletes from across the globe set off from the foot of the Acropolis in Athens on September 30 to run 245km to Sparta in the Peloponnese for the 40th Spartathlon.
Nearly 400 super athletes from across the globe will set off from Athens on September 30 to run 246km to the Peloponnesian town of Sparta for this year’s “Spartathlon” ultra marathon.
Τhe historic 246km Spartathlon ultra marathon will kick off from the Acropolis on Friday, September 28, and conclude 36 hours later in the Peloponnesian town of Sparta.
