Nearly 400 super athletes from across the globe will set off from Athens on September 30 to run 246km to the Peloponnesian town of Sparta for this year’s “Spartathlon” ultra marathon.
The “Athens Marathon. The Authentic” event has been honored with the World Athletics Heritage Plaque by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
