Odeon of Herod Atticus

The striking Odeum of Herod Atticus (also in Greek Herodeion) was the last public edifice of the antiquity to be added in the Acropolis area. It was erected by Herod Atticus in memory of his wife Regilla who died in AD 160.

Museums Ready to Re-open for Summer

Work on the road and the site has made the Marathon archaeological site unrecognizable as it undergoes refurbishment. As for the museum within the site, scheduled to be ready in June, work has begun on the walkways and planting is in progress.
