Greece’s Archaeological Resources Fund has launched a collection of textile face masks featuring prints and drawings inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Greek museums experienced an 11.8 percent increase in visitor numbers in January 2014 compared with the same month of 2013, according to a survey on museums and archaeological sites attendance carried out by the Greek statistical authority, ELSTAT.
As of 1 April, 33 Greek museums and archaeological sites will extend operating hours and remain open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, until the end of the season (31 October 2014).
