The 16th Tourism & Development Conference of SETE, under the title “Greek Tourism: Development & Sustainability” will be held on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th of October 2017, at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Athens.
This year’s conference will focus on the sustainable development of tourism with economic, social and environmental terms. During the conference will be presented the best practices of specific forms of tourism, will be analyzed issues of spatial planning and will be researched ways for the rise of tourism impact to the society.
Special emphasis will be given to the interconnection of tourism to the agri-food section and its meaning to the creation of competitive advantages for the Greek tourism product and thereby for the local communities.
The “Tourism & Development” conferences are established interventions of SETE to open discussions and create public dialogue on tourism and are aimed towards investors, entrepreneurs, senior business executives and public sector officials who aspire to have an active role in the development of Greek tourism.
Conference’s official language is Greek, with simultaneous translation in English.
