Turkish Airlines Brings Foreign Tour Operators to Athens

Nineteen tour operators from Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey, in early November mixed business with pleasure during a three-day familiarization trip in Athens, organized by Turkish Airlines in collaboration with Mideast Travel.

BTPF 2017As part of the fam trip, the foreign tour operators held meetings with representatives of leading Greek tourism organizations and enterprises at the 5th Business Travel Professionals Forum (BTPF), held by SWOT | Simple Way of Tourism and sponsored by Turkish Airlines

The tour operators also had the opportunity to tour Athens’ monuments and sites and also take a cruise to the islands of Hydra, Poros and Egina.

The 5th BTPF included B2B meetings between 32 hoteliers and representatives of leading tour operators from the Greek and international market. A total of 121 tourism organizations participated, as well as 102 enterprises and 30 hosted buyers.

During the forum, Turkish Airlines presented its services to participants.

“It’s been a pleasure to be able to participate in an event which connects Greece’s tourism industry with the global market,” said Alp Yavuzeser, Turkish Airlines general director.

“Turkish Airlines connects Greece with the rest of the world and brings thousands of foreign travelers to the country every year. We believe that Greece has the potential to become a year-round destination; Turkish Airlines supports this effort,” he added.
