Chivas Venture Invites Social Entrepreneurs to Apply for Contest
In efforts to bring forth the next generation of innovators, Chivas Venture invites young Greek entrepreneurs to apply with their business ideas for its annual competition by November 13 and be selected for funding.
Chivas Venture aims to identify and support the next generation of startups that will create a better future. There will be one winner from each participating country who will in turn participate in the Accelerator program to run at Oxford this year in collaboration with the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship – Saïd Business School.
Start-ups accelerated in the first two years of the Chivas Venture have transformed over 300,000 lives across 40 countries and include such innovations as building homes with recycled plastic, the creation of a vending machine filling the food gap in the developing world, helping farmers without Internet access gain knowledge, enabling individuals from low-income households to create value from their everyday waste, making farming more efficient by using radio-waves to save water and much more.
Chivas Venture 2018 will come to a close with shortlisted presentations in the final of the competition and the distribution of 1 million dollars in funding.
Speaking on behalf of Chivas Regal, Cyril Claquin, CEO Pernord Ricard Hellas, expressed his confidence that Greece will reach the world final and added that “Chivas Venture inspires social entrepreneurs from around the world who want to see positive changes around them.”
