Greek Islands Voted World’s Best in Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Awards 2017

The Greek islands topped the list of the 20 “Best Islands in the World”, as voted by the readers of renowned UK magazine Condé Nast Traveller (CNT), due to their extraordinary scenery and people.

According to the CNT “Readers’ Travel Awards 2017” list the Balearics came second, followed by Sicily, the Maldives and Koh Samui in Thailand.

Greece: Second best in world

Furthermore, Greece was voted as the second “Best Country in the World” by the readers of CNT after Italy, which won the first place. The United States came third, followed by France and Spain. In 2016 Greece had ranked first in the same category in the Readers’ Travel Awards, while the Greek islands had taken the second place on the “Best Islands in the World” list.

The readers of the luxury travel magazine voted for the things they love most about traveling: favorite countries, cities, islands, ski resorts; top hotels and spas; best airlines, airports, cruise lines, villa rental companies and tour operators.

The full list of winners of the Readers’ Travel Awards 2017 will be published in the October issue of Condé Nast Traveller.
