Heat Wave in Greece Affects Operating Hours of Archaeological Sites
Archaeological sites across Greece will remain closed on Wednesday afternoon and for as long as temperatures exceed 39 degrees Celsius, the Culture Ministry announced.
More specifically, archaeological sites operating on extended hours will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The Hellenic National Meteorological Service said temperatures will reach 39 degrees Celsius today and 41 degrees C on Thursday in some parts of the country. Weather conditions will start improving as of Friday.
