Cine Manto: A ‘Secret’ Garden Under Mykonos’ Starry Sky

Cine Manto, located in the heart of Mykonos in the Cyclades, has opened its doors for the summer season, to feature the latest movie productions of world cinema in a vast garden of 1,500 square meters, full of palm trees, pines and unique species of cactus.

The cinema’s daily evening screening program includes two movies: One can choose among worldwide premiers and the latest box-office productions for adults and children, screened in English with Greek subtitles.

Cine Manto, however, is offering much more than a summer movie experience and is described as a tranquil shelter of art, though only a few minutes away from the bustling streets of Mykonos. In summer 2014, it was featured in The Independent as one of the “world’s six best summer cinemas”.

The venue’s gardens include the “Cine Manto Restaurant”, which is open all day long, offering Greek breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. It is also considered an ideal location for business gatherings or informal meetings.

Guests can enjoy the restaurant’s delicacies, while watching their favorite movie under the summer starry sky.

The gardens are open from early in the morning until late at night and every summer host a series of cultural events, from spontaneous Greek music nights with bouzouki to fashion shows, art exhibitions, book presentations, music performances, gastronomy events, and dancing lessons with free admission.

Cine Manto is open from late May until early October. To view the program of screenings press here.
