Meteora’s Mushroom Museum Honored by TripAdvisor
The Natural History and Mushroom Museum of Meteora, located in Thessaly, central Greece, for the second year in a row was honored with the 2017 Certificate of Excellence by travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor.
Furthermore, the Museum ranked first among the area’s Museums and second among Greece’s Natural History Museums on TripAdvisor’s list.
The certificate is provided to organizations and sights globally for the quality of services and the experiences offered to visitors and it is based on the number and the quality of the reviews posted by TripAdvisor’s users in a period of twelve months.
“We would like to warmly thank our visitors for their exceptional reviews,” said the Museum’s Director Nikos Pallas. “We are proud for this award, especially because it is the result of an objective and unambiguous process. We promise to continue in the same way, by constantly upgrading the quality of our services and activities,” he added.
The Natural History Museum and Mushroom Museum of Meteora is located in Kalambaka, near the monasteries of the imposing Meteora rocks. It includes a wide collection (300 exhibits) of birds and mammals, as well as a section dedicated to mushrooms with dozens of types and varieties, which showcase the main phases of their development and the natural environment in which the grow.
