Marine Tours: What Passengers of Qatar Airways Need to Know

Due to recent developments and aiming to facilitate its customers and the hundreds of marine professionals traveling with Qatar Airways, Greek company Marine Tours issued an announcement to provide essential information on the airline company’s flights and booking policies.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates recently severed diplomatic, land, air and sea ties with the State of Qatar. All Qatar Airways flights from and to the Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have been suspended until further notice.

Marine ToursAccording to the announcement, Qatar Airways passengers with a confirmed reservation and an issued ticket until June 5, 2017, can cancel their bookings, request a refund or change their flights free of charge. This also includes reroutes to other airline companies (apart from Emirates and Etihad).

From June 5 onwards travelers can either rebook a flight with Qatar Airways to travel between Doha and their initial destination in the four affected countries free of charge. The new traveling dates must be within 30 days since the initial travel date.

Passengers may also travel with another airline company free of charge, as long as there is not a Qatar Airways flight available.

In case of flight cancellations in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain passengers may rebook their flight with Qatar Airways from and to the nearest destination in Kuwait and Oman (document verification checks to be applied).

In case of flight cancellations in Egypt, travelers can rebook a flight with Qatar Airways from and to the nearest point in Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Oman (document verification checks to be applied).

Passengers can get a full refund in case they haven’t used their tickets.

In case of further ticket changes with a departure date later than July 6, Qatar Airways’ regular air fares will be applied.
