Culture Ministry Promotes Greek Music at MIDEM 2017 Expo in Cannes
In an effort to introduce Greek music to the rest of the world, the Greek Culture Ministry is participating in the international music exhibition MIDEM 2017 that is taking place June 6-9 at the Palais de Festivals, in Cannes, France.
With four days of music conferences, competitions and networking events, MIDEM 2017 constitutes an international B2B music event.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Greece’s participation aims to provide the opportunity to Greek artists to promote their work abroad. The culture ministry’s stand will host Greek record labels, musicians and students.
MIDEM this year is expected to host 5,500 individuals from 75 countries. Participants include representatives of record companies, distinguished artists, music bands, as well as music students, who aim to share and promote their ideas, meet music professionals, sign collaboration contracts, promote music productions and shows, mainly in the fields of classical and jazz music.
