Turkish Airlines Inaugurates ‘Stopover’ Service in Istanbul

Turkish Airlines  recently launched a “Stopover” service in Istanbul, for transfer passengers departing from Pakistan and having more than 20 hours connecting time, before arriving in the US, Schengen Countries, UK, or Ireland, an announcement said.

The new service, which sets Pakistan as pilot region for the initial phase, enables economy class passengers to stay  at a 4-star hotel for 1 night and business class passengers to stay at a 5-star hotel for 2 nights, in the areas of Sultanahmet and Taksim in Istanbul.

Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Republic of Turkey is offering a complimentary 7-day transit visa to Pakistani passengers, who travel with Turkish Airlines from Pakistan to the U.S., Schengen Countries, U.K. and Ireland.

Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is a 4-star airline, with a fleet of 337 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 299 destinations worldwide (250 international and 49 domestic).
